Colorado Springs Home Builders - Building Permits January thru April 2008New homes for sale in Colorado Springs have slowed down since the boom of the last few years. The biggest change that we have seen in the new home market is the drop in ˜inventory homes - meaning: if you want to buy a new home, you will need to ˜dirt start it. Building homes before they are purchased is too big of a risk for Colorado Springs home builders. Here is a look at some of the busiest builders in El Paso County - to include the Colorado Springs, Monument, Falcon/Peyton and Fountain real estate markets, and how many building permits were pulled from January - April of 2008:

Colorado Springs Real Estate Market UPDATE: Comparing Average April Home Sale Prices 2005 - 2008I recently wrote a post where I commented that the Colorado Springs Real Estate market home prices were closer to the mark of 2005’s home prices. After further research, I have found that the information sources that I was basing that off of were unreliable, so I removed that post as not to create any confusion, and apologize for any confusion it may have already created. This is a comprehensive update on how average home sale prices in Colorado Springs compare, from the month of April in 2005 - 2008. I only am comparing April sold data from year to year. The areas that I chose to compare were large parts of Colorado Springs with similar homes within the area and plenty of real estate activity from 2005-2008.

Are There Sexual Predators in YOUR Colorado Springs Neighborhood? If you have children, you will want to know if there are sex offenders in your Colorado Springs neighborhood. Our family just moved to a new neighborhood, and the first thing that I did was check to see if there were any registered sex offenders in my new neighborhood. I have 2 young children, and it is my job, as their parent, to be aware of any potential dangers. The Colorado Springs Police Department has a free, updated and comprehensive website dedicated to keeping the most accurate information on registered sex offenders in Colorado Springs. Colorado Springs Registered Sex Offender ListYou can search by name or zip code, and there are even pictures of the offenders, as well as information on wanted sexual offenders in Colorado Springs. This is excellent information, if you are looking to buy a home in Colorado Springs or if you are moving to Colorado Springs. As a Realtor®, I am not allowed to TELL our clients if there are any sex offenders in a neighborhood, so I make sure that they know about this website if they are concerned. http://www.coloradospringsrealestateconnection.com/002D02
