Colorado Springs Home Builders - Building Permits January thru April 2008New homes for sale in Colorado Springs have slowed down since the boom of the last few years. The biggest change that we have seen in the new home market is the drop in 'inventory homes - meaning: if you want to buy a new home, you will need to 'dirt start it. Building homes before they are purchased is too big of a risk for Colorado Springs home builders. Here is a look at some of the busiest builders in El Paso County - to include the Colorado Springs, Monument, Falcon/Peyton and Fountain real estate markets, and how many building permits were pulled from January - April of 2008:

Stetson Hills is a Colorado Springs neighborhood in the Powers area - East of Powers Blvd., between Woodmen Road and Barnes Road. Here is a snapshot of the Stetson Hills Real Estate Market from April 1, 2008 - May 7, 2008: Current Available Homes for Sale in Stetson Hills: 271 homes, priced from $164,000 - $499,900. Pending Sales: 74 homes are under contract, priced from $149,900 - $359,000 Sold Homes (since 4/1/2008): 37 homes sold in Stetson Hills, with sold prices from $150,000 - $340,000 and were on the market for an average of 120 days.
